State Makes Tough Decisions per the Governor

From the Governor's Desk

Today, due to the unexpected economic impacts of #COVID19, I asked State agencies to begin reviewing their budgets and making recommendations for reductions that still prioritize the resources needed to protect Nevada’s citizens and our medical and public safety workers on the front lines.

With the near total shutdown of businesses, it is inevitable that decreased revenue will force the State to make tough choices. However, this review will focus on conserving resources, not an arbitrary across-the-board cut that would do a disservice to Nevadans and their families.

The State and its citizens are facing a new, unimaginable reality, but I have faith in our strength. Nevadans have overcome many obstacles in recent years, and I am confident we can all make it through this together and lead our economy and our State back from these challenging times.
